If you never use images in your ads, you probably will not interest too many people in what you are selling. After all, customers cannot be influenced by words alone. You need to include supporting images or graphics – pictures that are well-positioned and meaningful.
Graphic design, in essence, is a visual example of your brand and its message. You can tell a story with a still image and highlight the benefits of your product and service at the same time. Graphic design is indeed an important addition to an ad, as it directs the eyes of the viewer across a visual. When this happens, buyer responses are almost instantaneous.
Without any form of graphic design, we would not be able to immediately recognize popular brands, such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Google. According to market figures, you can get a lot of mileage out of using graphics for ads. These major players make millions per year just by displaying their logo.
For example, without using a visual, selling an automobile is not easy. What would happen if you could only make a purchase decision based on a product’s description alone – no brand logo or brand identity, just words and no images? You know what would happen – Nothing! Visuals are needed to obtain quick product information so your customers can make a logical buying choice.
If you need further proof, look at the facts. According to market researchers, statistics prove the following:
Images and graphics in color entice people to read product info by 80%. Therefore, using high-definition hues that are psychologically meaningful can embed your brand’s image and products in the customer’s mind. For instance, the color black is often associated with all things elegant while red promotes a call to action or causes the consumer to decide more quickly. Color in an ad can give you a competitive edge professionally and financially.
Posts that display graphics engage readers by a whopping 180%. They encourage the reader to carefully consider the message.
The brain processes graphics 60,000 times more quickly than text, so advertisers can enjoy immediate impressions and conversions.
Also consider this – a company that produces a customized visual or graphic design coverts leads to customers about seven times faster than businesses who don’t use this approach.
When you review the data, it is easy to see that graphic design makes it easier to convey your ad message and brand identity to buyers. You just have to make sure that the visuals you use quickly identify a product’s benefits. Graphic designers know that potential customers do not take long to view an ad. A viewer can move on quickly if an ad doesn’t capture his attention in a manner of seconds.
Therefore, you only have a short amount of time to showcase your brand and convey your ad's message. Adding the right graphics make it possible for you to send a message that is clearly and easily understood as well as memorable.
You can spread your brand's message by using graphics on varying media, including business cards, websites, brochures, and stationery. To market your business aggressively and stay ahead of the competition, you need to align yourself with a good graphic artist or graphic design team. When you include visuals in your ads, you not only pique people’s interest, you create customer relationships that will be lasting and meaningful.
